Packaging wood prices on the increase for the first time since the start of this year
While prices for plywood and OSB fell again in December, those of solid wood for pallets and packaging recovered slightly. The price indices increased by up to 3.7% month on month.

German sawmill industry with decreasing sales
In October, the German sawmill industry saw its sales decrease both month on month and year on year. In the first ten months, cumulated sales were also lower than they had been in 2022 and 2021. Compared to 2020 and 2019, however, the industry recorded marked increases.
