Sveaskog, Sweden's largest forest owner and a state-owned
enterprise, has reported a significant improvement in its
operational performance for 2025.
Sveaskog's operating profit increased by 10 percent in 2025,
driven by higher timber prices despite lower delivery volumes.
At the same time, the trend weakened significantly in the fourth
quarter, according to the company.
“In the fourth quarter, market conditions for sawmills, the pulp
and paper industry, and biofuel weakened further,” comments
Sveaskog's President and CEO Erik Brandsma.
