
The U.S. exported 964,860.7 metric tons of wood pellets in
January, up from 834,615 metric tons in December and 825,269.9
metric tons in January 2025, according to data released by the
USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on March 12.
The U.S. exported wood pellets to more than a dozen countries in
January. The U.K. was the top destination for U.S. wood pellet
exports at 805,760.3 metric tons, followed by Denmark at 97,026
metric tons and the French West Indies at 43,119 metric tons.
The value of U.S. wood pellet exports reached $189.5 million in
January, up from $164.19 million the previous month and $157.96
million in January of the previous year.
