Kuratle Group AG and Raurica Wald AG have decided to discontinue
the STP - Swiss Timber Production project as originally planned.
Swiss Timber Production (STP) was conceived as a project to
build up additional industrial processing capacities for wood in
Switzerland and thus strengthen value creation along the timber
construction and wood-based materials chain.
The decision was made after a comprehensive review of the
economic and regulatory framework conditions as well as various
implementation and participation models. Under the current
conditions, a long-term viable basis for a capital-intensive
industrial investment in Switzerland could not be sufficiently
confirmed.
The strategic and technical foundations were developed during
the course of the project. In parallel, the corporate groups are
examining alternative development and utilisation options for
the site in question with the aim of realising sustainable
solutions that make sense for the regional economy.
Kuratle Group AG and Raurica Wald AG would like to thank all
partners, authorities, investors and employees for their
dedicated support throughout the entire project phase. The
project team deserves special recognition for its professional
and forward-looking work.
The corporate groups remain committed to their strategic
orientation: sustainable wood processing, entrepreneurial
stability and long-term value creation in the Swiss market.
About the Kuratle Group and Raurica Wald AG:
