Norway's Softwood Log Prices Fall

Lithuania: Log Prices Show Mixed Trends
In March 2026, prices for coniferous logs in Lithuania rose compared to the previous month. Birch logs, on the other hand, became noticeably cheaper. Compared to the same month last year, coniferous logs have become significantly more expensive overall.

Norway: Softwood Log Prices Fall
In March 2026, softwood log prices in Norway fell significantly to sharply compared to the same month the previous year, while hardwood log prices rose sharply. Compared to the previous month, spruce prices remained nearly stable, while pine prices fell.

Germany: Construction Orders on the Rise Again
In February 2026, real, calendar-adjusted order intake rose by 7.6% compared with the previous month. Compared with February 2025, real, calendar-adjusted order intake increased by 9.8%.

Finland: Decline in industrial timber prices partially halted
Following a sharp decline in the second half of 2025, industrial timber prices in Finland appear to be stabilizing in the first quarter of 2026 for spruce and hardwood, while pine prices fell by a further 2% between January and March.

Finland: Log Prices on the Decline
In March 2026, log prices in Finland fell by 5–8% compared to the same month a year earlier. Compared to the previous month, spruce and pine prices rose by 1% and 5%, respectively, while birch prices fell by 1%.
