The 58th China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) Shanghai is
scheduled to take place September 5–8, 2026, at the National
Exhibition & Convention Center, Shanghai Hongqiao. The show will
emphasize three strategic pillars: design, digital intelligence,
and sustainability.
Design initiatives: CIFF Shanghai 2026 will increase its
focus on contemporary design through initiatives such as Design
Eden · Contemporary Design Trade Fair. This 50,000-square-meter
area will showcase design brands, creative studios, and
independent designers, and will include exhibitions, forums,
awards, and launch events. The event will present the CIFF
Shanghai Design Conference and launch the Golden Creation Award,
recognizing product innovation. A dedicated Green Sustainability
Award will be introduced.
Digital intelligence advances: The New Retail Hall,
covering 8,000 square meters, will feature 15 brands with
integrated retail scenarios that combine online and offline
elements with data-driven management. VR and AR technologies
will be available for immersive product and spatial
demonstrations. The official online platform will offer
multilingual support and digital services for exhibitors and
buyers. A new nationwide matchmaking program, in partnership
with Red Star Macalline, aims to connect brands, distributors,
and retail channels.
Sustainability focus: Sustainability will be underscored
by the concurrent CIFF Shanghai WMF International Woodworking
Machinery Fair, where advanced technologies for sustainable
production and efficient resource use will be displayed. The
International Materials Selection Center at the show will
spotlight new sustainable materials and manufacturing methods.
Content and experiences: The event will host five curated
exhibitions, including The Hidden Realm Thematic Exhibition,
HOTLINE Joint Exhibition of Design Creators, Grand Tea Gala, The
Design & Imagination Contemporary Design Exhibition, and Design
Gravity. These exhibitions will explore relationships between
design, lifestyle, and sustainability.
International scope: CIFF Shanghai 2026 will expand in
sectors such as woodworking machinery, upholstered furniture,
outdoor living, office spaces, and living and dining spaces.
Organizers plan to build on previous programs that, in 2025,
supported over 470 business meetings and generated onsite orders
exceeding USD 8.14 million. In 2026, the fair aims to further
connect exhibitors and global buyers through roadshows, media
collaborations, and matchmaking programs.
