According to statistics from the Viet Nam Customs, wood and wood
products (W&WP) exports reached US$1.60 billion in July
2026, up 4% from June 2026 and up 9% from July 2025. Of this
total, WP exports amounted to US$1.05 billion, increasing by 6%
month-on-month and 3% year-on-year.
In the first seven months of 2026, Viet Nam’s W&WP exports
totalled US$10.2 billion, up 6% from the same period in 2025. Of
this, WP exports reached US$6.57 billion, down 1% yearon-year.
Viet Nam’s W&WP exports to the EU reached US$65 million in July
2026, down 16% from June 2026 but up 26% from July 2025. In the
first seven months of 2026, W&WP exports to the EU totalled
US$540 million, an increase of 55.2%
compared with the same period in 2025.
Viet Nam’s imports of wood raw materials from the EU have been
estimated at 125,000 cu.m in July 2026, valued at US$38.17
million. This represented increases of 11% in volume and 11% in
value compared with June 2026 and increases
of 23% in volume and 26% in value compared with July 2025.
In the first seven months of 2026, imports of wood raw materials
from the EU have been estimated at 638,800 cu.m, valued at
US$195.09 million, up 21% in volume and 23% in value
year-on-year.
Viet Nam’s exports of W&WP to Canada have been estimated at
US$28 million in July 2026, up 4% from June 2026 and 19% from
July 2025. In the first seven months of 2026, W&WP exports to
Canada have been estimated at
US$173 million, an increase of 9% compared with the same period
in 2025.
Viet Nam’s exports of kitchen furniture have been estimated at
US$119 million in July 2026, down 16% from July 2025. In the
first seven months of 2026, kitchen furniture exports have been
estimated at US$705 million, a decrease of
15% year-on-year.
Viet Nam’s imports of pine wood have been estimated at 135,000
cu.m in July 2026, valued at US$26.6 million. This represented
increases of 19% in volume and 13% in value compared with June
2026 and increases of 22% in volume and
24% in value compared with July 2025. In the first seven months
of 2026, Viet Nam’s pine wood imports have been estimated at
756,300 cu.m, valued at US$148.9 million, up 29% in volume and
26% in value compared with
the same period in 2025.
