B-grade: vertical and flat grain mixed; a little color variation allowed, very few pin holes allowed on one face only. No knots, no blue stain, no heartwood and decay.
C grade: small and sound knots, blue stain, heartwood and pitch streaks allowed. No decay, no splits and worm holes.
