Wood briquettes are the by-products of wood processing activity. They are basically solid and consistently hard and have a ?rick?form. They are RUF certified, which is the common standard for fuel pellets. Wood briquettes are manufactured of softwood sawdust in modern hydraulic machinery. No chemicals are added. At the same time lignin ?a natural component of a biomass ?acts as a binding element, holding them together to form and shape as extruded briquet. This substance keeps it solidified as they dry. This natural component also makes a ?laze?kind appearance on the outside of briquet. Wood briquettes (eurowood) are considered to be a new efficient alternative for traditional oils/fuels, that have been gaining a lot of interest all over the world. They are suitable for all types of heating machines at plants and factories, can be used in stoves (pellet stoves models and most traditional stoves), boilers and other heating systems. It is believed that wood briquettes as a wood fuel is better that any other kind of fuel. The boiler capacity increases up to 50 % in comparison with usual firewood. Wood briquettes are environmentally friendly. The emitted carbon dioxide is 0,08 % lower than from coal or usual firewood. Eurowood is believed to be advantageous over other forms of biomass fuels and non renewable fossil fuels. They don't spark or fume while burning and generate high heat output. Wood briquettes are generally small-sized, highly dense and compacted unlike other biomass fuel such as woodchips. Very low moisture content protects them from decomposition. These characteristics make a stack of wood briquettes easy to store and transport. It's quite easy to ignite the wood briquettes. Two or three pieces would be enough to create a comfortable atmosphere in the house and to warm it. The property of being low moist material makes wood briquettes easier to burn the moist. Quite intense flame can be observed. After the briquettes are burnt the chars are left that still keep high temperature and conserve warmth.
Wood briquettes have the following characteristics: length ?150 mm width ?100 mm height ?60 mm 1 pile consists of 12 pieces and weighs 10 kg. The piles are film-wrapped.
Wood vs. Wood Briquettes: Comparison Heating capacity: - black coal ?4900 kcal/kg; wood briquettes ?4400-4500 kcal/kg; brown coal ?3910 kcal/kg; peat pellets ?3910 kcal/kg; firewood (humidity 25%) - 2160 kcal/kg (pine) - 2600 kcal/kg (birch); - firewood (humidity 40-50%)- 1500 kcal/kg. Ash content: - brown coal ?40 % - black coal ?20 % - peat pellets ?16 % - wood briquettes ?0,5-1 %.
Carbon dioxide emissions by wood briquettes burning are 10 times lower than by natural gas, 30 and 50 times lower than by coke and coal burning correspondingly. PRICE: 105.- Є/t. DELIVERY TERMS: EXW Sokol, Vologda region, Russia. |
