Western Bluegrass Terminal, is a new western Kentucky rail freight complex. The terminal consolidates truck loads of forest products into freight cars, providing cost effective freight service. It stuffs containers. The complex trans-loads and provides distribution services for forest product commodities. Its facilities include two forest product warehouses, and ten acres of laid down area, box car ramps, and the ability to handle any type of freight car.
It is located at the junctions of Interstate I-66 and Interstate I-69, and CSX's busy Dixie Flyer Corridator (Chicago - Nashville - Mobile & Jacksonville. It provides consolidated rail shipments to Mexico via Mobile's new freight car ferry. The terminal has easy truck access and parking. |
